Erika Brodnock

Kami CEO and Co-founder

Erika Brodnock is an influential life and parenting coach, serial-entrepreneur and mother of five. As a research officer at LSE, she is undertaking PhD in Psychological Behavioural Science, and recently completed her term as a research fellow at King’s College London, where she researched how AI could be used to support the prevention of parental mental health issues. She is an MBA and Sky News’ resident parenting expert, who has won multiple awards for her dedication to, and work in, child psychology and digital education. This includes ‘Female Entrepreneur of the Year’ in 2015 and Diversity Champion at the 2021 UKBAA awards. Her mission to empower parents from diverse backgrounds led to her co-founding Extend Ventures CIC, where she is leading pioneering research that aims to democratise access to finance for diverse entrepreneurs. Having struggled with postnatal depression herself, Erika recognised a significant lack in the support available for parents, leading her to found Kami so all parents can have the hands-on support they need as they encounter the most challenging job they will ever have to do.
